Lost access to sky sports news on 409. Why?

It would help to know what is happening when you try to access it? No satellite signal, an upgrade message, or something else?

I still have access to all sky sports channels but not 409 sky sports news !

I'm afraid Sky no longer support Sky+ and Sky+HD set ups.

You'll need to employ a local satellite engineer at your own expense to check/realign/repair/replace the dish/LNB if that's the problem.

If you have Sky Protect cover through Domestic and General Insurance you can call them but a previous post on here stated they wouldn't send an engineer - but they did offer the customer £65 towards arranging one themselves.

The alternative is contacting Sky to upgrade to Sky Q or change to Glass / Stream.

@Don77 most likely the result of a slight misalignment of your dish and/or a failing LNB (the bit on the arm where the cables connect). Unfortunately you'll need to contact a local satellite engineer to take a look as @Daniel0210 explained.

Alternatively now might be a good time to consider upgrading to Sky Q. Any dish or cabling issues will be addressed as part of the Sky Q installation at no additional cost to you.

Thanks for the advice. I have a mate who can sort the dish problem, thought it was a

• Broadcaster fault. As you say maybe time to upgrade.
