Sky+ search changed for the worse

I quite often download programmes to watch and therefore use the search function. Up to now, this has generally been fine and you can search for a programme quite quickly. For some reason, there's either a technical issue or Sky have made changes to what the search box now shows. As you can see in this first photo, when I start typing a word, I just get a list of actors, etc. all of whom I've never heard of.Sky Search 1.jpg

 

When I type more of a title, it's not giving me names that just have these letters in that order but also ones that are close to them. I can see why it might if I don't know the name of something, but with how the search is now, you end up having to type near enough the whole programme to get it down to close to what you want.

I'm hoping this is just a technical issue unless it's a subtle ploy by Sky to get Sky+ box owners to upgrade to Sky Q!

I have noticed this as well as you have to type more letters now before what you are searching does show up which it does but not as quick as it used to be as it appears to shows more actors now.

I'm using Sky+ but is this a change specifically to this or for Sky Q as well?

I'm glad someone has posted this, I noticed the same today and it's really annoying! Not intuitive at all.

@Fenix975 @Unfortunately not. You could try emailing ViewerR@sky.uk

Make sure to specify Sky+HD when you do so that they can replicate it on their test boxes.
