The volume control on my remote has stopped working. It had been working okay up until yesterday. The remote was bought about two months ago from Argos. The tv is a Sony KDL32WD756 and is not listed in the dropdown menu on the help page and I have put in all the codes provided by Sky but the volume still doesn't work.

Use the code you previously used before it stopped working.
If you didn't programme the code originally, I'm guessing the remote was using the default code which I think is 0000, which happens to be the code often used by Sony TVs.

Had you previously (that is, before it stopped working) entered a code into the remote?
Or did it control your tv volume without you entering any code?
Does your tv remote still control the volume?

Hi Mark,
When we first got the remote I think it was code 1653 that worked. The remote for the tv stopped working a couple of years ago.

Try 1853 or 2806

That's one of the codes suggested for your tv, so it's quite likely the right one.
If you've reset the remote as I posted previously and programmed it correctly, it should work. If not, it looks like either the remote or your tv is faulty.
