Sky plus box Input 1 and 2 not locked no signal

Sky plus box Input 1 and 2 not locked no signal - completely crashed on me last night - still not working - really annoyed.  can anyone assist.   I was told via Sky that Engineer will no longer come out as box no longer in operation.  I live in a flat -  communal dish unfortunately.  Would appreciate any help.  Thank you

As you're connected to a communal setup you need to report this to your landlord or their managing agents anyway, not Sky.

I reported this to Sky before and they assisted in getting it working - they got me to  access something - I cant remember.   the housing bodies are totally useless - I didnt have all this trouble when I had my own Sky dish which was removed via the housing.  Think I will have to consider streaming Sky instead.  Maybe easier

Strictly, your landlord is responsible for getting the signal from the communal dish to your flat- either the wall socket or the connectors at the end of the loose cables, if there's no wall socket.

Do research Sky Stream carefully - there's no recording facility and not all channels are available. It can work well providing you have a stable broadband connection and adequate speed.
