Sky+ hd box keeps making humming noise and stuck on amber!

I have left it on for hours upon hours. I did this a couple of weeks ago and it came on out of the blue, but this time its on a constant loop making a noise and with the new sky remote not flashing with the box stuck on amber.

 

Anyone else having sky+ HD problems?

It sounds like the box has failed and will need replacing. There are used boxes available cheaply on ebay etc - just look for a DRX890 or DRX895 model.
