Hi
My parents have a sky dish and a white sky freesat box that has worked perfectly since analogue was switched to digital. Something must have happened as they have a message saying onnect a phone line, which we do. Then turn off box and leave 5 mins, which we do. When switched back on again it goes back to connect phone line message and seems to be stuck in this loop. Used number on services button but no longer in service 😢 how do we contact sky help as all help refers to paid systems not free to view. So not sure what doesn't work, dish, box, card.
Any help gratefully received as parents have alzheimer's and itv was the mainstat. Should we ditch and pay for new ariel and chuck the whole set up?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAs it's a white Sky box, it must be very old and undoubtedly no longer supported by Sky. Intuitively it sounds like either a fault with the phone connection, or a fault with the box in that it doesn't recognise the connection to the phone line.
Probably the cheapest solution would be to buy a replacement, used Sky box from the likes of ebay. Don't pay more than £50.
If you want to speak to Sky, you can find the number to call via the 'need more help' dropdown on this page: https://www.sky.com/help/home
I'm not sure how much help they can give you.
