Sky engineer disconnected my signal when installed Sky Q in another apartment

I live in a block of 20 Apartments. The Sky engineer has been out to install a Sky Q box for another resident & in doing so, has disconnected my feed. The engineer is aware they have disconnected another apartment, but wasn't sure which one. Spoken to Sky & they said they're is nothing they can do as they don't cover Sky +, but the box is fine & I'm not asking them to fix anything. I'm asking them to attend & ammend the error the engineer made. They have told me I have to get a 3rd party engineer out. This was Sky's error & they wont help.

You'll need to contact your buildings management and/or the people who control the communal dish

It is correct that Sky no longer support Sky Plus

Please Note: Sky+ is now a legacy service that Sky are replacing with their newer services: Sky Q (all issues will be fixed during a Sky Q install), Sky Glass and Sky Stream

It's not at the dish, it's in the store cupboard. If I knew how to reconnect it, I would do it myself. My box was fine until the engineer unplugged the signal, which they should never have touched.

@Kaz1002  Sky are correct in their stance even though they are at fault

I would lodge a formal complaint giving full details as whilst they wouldn't normally help for the reason stated unless you have sky protect insurance you may have a case for the reason you have raised

@Kaz1002

What has your landlord / building management company said about this? Ultimately it was them that would have arranged the original engineer visit which resulted in this disconnection.

No, They just let them into the store that they need to get in. It's the individual apts that have to deal with their own accounts. I can understand if it was my errror, but it wasn't. The engineer has caused this & now we have no services.

I agree with @SKY1992bf. You need to submit a complaint.

The link for email doesn't work. Do you have another?

@Kaz1002  If each apartment has a separate dish then yes I would expect each apartment to be responsible for their own service

however if all apartments are fed by a single dish then your building management has ultimate responsibility for this I would have thought

Not working for me either. Best use one of the other options. There's no alternative email solution.
