Sky + box on Freesat channels lost

I have a sky + hd box on Freesat, now channels are being updated to HD , I have lost so many channels and the box is now useless how can this be fixed, I did read that this box can be upgraded for free but no information on this anywhere

@Halfnotro if you have a Sky+HD box, it's already capable of receiving free to air HD channels, such as BBC1 HD, ITV HD, C4 HD and Channel 5 HD, so I'm unclear about the issue you're having?

You said you have a Sky+ HD box, if that is the case you shouldn't have lost any channels.

Not sure if Sky are going to swap hardware from SD to HD if there's no subscription in place.  Are you paying for the old 'Freesat from Sky' (which essentially just enables recording/playback)?

Freesat from Sky does not provide recording/playback it was just access to extra channels that needed a viewing card, there was/is a separate monthly subscription for the Sky+ features

Ah, yes, I'd forgotten that. Probably makes it more likely that this particular SD hardware isn't eligible for the free HD swap then.
