Sky+ box asks to upgrade to demand for certain channels

When I try and watch a catch up programme on Atlantic and My5 it says to watch on demand I need to contact skSky to upgrade.  I have a Sky+ box by the way.  It works for BBC, ITV and Channel 4.

Do you have the HD package on your account because if no for Sky Atlantic and My5 you would need to watch SD content. The BBC, ITV and Ch4 you can watch HD content without the HD package.

Yes I watch Atlantic and My5 through SD but cannot view through catchup.  Maybe cos I have Sky+ I was thinking and not SkyQ or Glass but I can get bbc and itv through catchup.   So can anyone advice why I cannot access Atlantic and My5 on catchup?

@Reana123456 Sounds like you're either trying to download HD content without a HD subscription or you're trying to download Box Sets content without a Box Sets or Signature subscription

Thanks for your reply.  So have to pay extra for HD to watch on catchup on certain channels, eg Atlantic and My5 but free to watch when not on catchup?

That is correct, to watch either those channels live or catchup from them you need to HD package as per my previous post.

Channel 5 is unusual as the HD channel is free but catch-up requires the HD pack, unlike BBC/ITV/C4.

You should be able to download C5 programmes in SD.
