TV box light won't turn green. Screen keeps saying sky+HD please wait with dv12 in left hand corner

Have you tried turning the box off at the plug for 5 minutes?

Trying that now

Tried it but still the same error

Well don't know how but it's back on now

Restarting fixes a multitude of problems. Hopefully it will be ok now.
