I guess this is another case of the Sky+ / Paramount+ range of programmes available being less than the full Paramount+ range (which more up to date Sky customers with Sky Cinema get).
Looking on my Sky+ box in Catch Up > Paramount+ > Sci-Fi, I can see Star Trek: Picard.
But going in there only shows 9 episodes of Season 2 (not sure why S2E4 Watcher is missing).
I'll be able to watch Season 3 via Amazon Prime, but it would be more convenient to be able to download episodes to my Sky+ planner.

Yes, that was my other option (mention in my OP), but having it in my Sky+ planner is preferable.
Luckily S3E1 has now appeared in the Catch-up section, so I've set it to download.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI see the same so it might be worth sending an email to the Viewer Relations team about this - viewerR@sky.uk

I received a prompt reply from the Sky Viewer Relations team:
I asked:
I am a Sky+ customer with Sky Cinema, hence I get a subset of theParamount+ library available to me in the Catch Up section of my Sky+ box.
Looking in Catch Up > Paramount+ > Sci-Fi, I can see Star Trek: Picard.
But going in there only shows 9 episodes of Season 2, not the first
episode of Season3, which was released in the last day or so.
Will Star Trek: Picard season 3 be coming to the Sky+ / Paramount+ catch
up section soon please?
They replied:
Thank you for your email to Sky regarding Season 3 of Star Trek:Picard.
While the Paramount+ service is available on the Sky Platform, this is not a service that Sky own or operate. Nor do we have any control or knowledge of future content that Paramount intend to make available through it.
It is also worth noting that the Paramount+ service available through the Sky+HD box is reduced in comparison to the amount of content available through the Paramount+ app itself. Again, this is a Paramount decision on what content gets made available through the platform.
However, not everything that is available on the Paramount+ app will be available On Demand on the Sky+HD box. Should you wish to make full use of the FREE Paramount+ service that comes with your Sky Cinema subscription, you can contact Customer Services about upgrading to Sky Q or Sky Glass.
So maybe I need to ask Paramount.
Interesting that the subset that Sky+ customers get is a Paramount decision - I didn't know that before.
If I get any information from Paramount I will add it here.
