Last week for the first time I received a blue screen on my TV and the message This monitor can't connect due to HDCP (I don't remember the precise wording). My Sky HD+ digibox provides a source to a 6 year old Denon AVR-X2000 receiver, which passes the signal to a 5 month old Philips TV. Everything worked perfectly until last week. Neither the TV nor receiver has had a recent firmware update, though I don't know whether or not the Sky box has.
A number of times I've attempted to reset the handshake between these devices by putting them on standby and removing them from the mains, disconnecting the hdmi cables between them, leaving for a couple of hours whilst I walked the dogs, then reconnected and restarted everything in the order recommended by the Sky on-screen help (TV, receiver, Sky box).
Unfortunately the problem persists. I've tried different cables. I note that the Sky box will work normally when connected directly to the TV which suggests the receiver, however, nothing has changed on it so the question for me appears to be why does the Sky box no longer hamdshake with the receiver?
I assumed that due to the age and relatively low resolution of the Sky box (ie not 4k) then it wouldn't be bothered by HDCP. Has there been a Sky update recently which might have increased the level of HDCP?

Thanks for your answers.
I replaced the hdmi cable between digibox and receiver with a high speed cheap Amazon-branded one and all is now fine
