Guys had a sorfwear update by sky on the 4th Oct 2024.
since that event , had trouble with channels .
the old way, watch one channel record a differnt channel .
new way after sky sabotaged by box !!
watch one channel , can only record the actul channel am recording !!
also of a late night I used to record two show at the same time , NOT any more , clash and none get recorded .
its all part of getting me to upgrade to now the defunked "Sky Q" another merry go round starts .

See my FAQ on how to access the Hidden menu, there is an option there that can turn of single feed mode
Does your box have 2 cables coming from the dish?

You did not have a software update for Sky Plus as Sky have dropped ALL software updates and the last one was years ago, maybe you had a slight power outage that would put your box on channel 998

@Simon+Krish no software update for years, as @Annie+UK posted. This is not the result of anything Sky has done.
Your 'symptoms' suggest you have a signal from the dish on only one cable. Check your signal strengths Service > Settings > Signal
The white part of all four bars should be at least half way across.
I don't know what you mean about Sky Q being defunct. It's still perfectly viable.

Hi checked signal .
only TWO white bars .
input 1 signal quailty about 10% dark blue .
input 1 signal Stregth about 30% dark blue

It's the white part that is important and that looks OK, but your box seems to be in single cable mode as there is no INPUT 2 listed

Do you now have 4 bars showing Signal/Quality? If so they should all be much more than 50% and your box should now be working better and be able to record two live channels at the same time

That was it . Restore second out put.
back to normal .
it was a sky phone call that talk me into turning that into a single mode .
not sure why, well i do , ive been under a lot of SKY pressure to upgrade to skyQ, which i read on this forum is also being not offred to new customers , as Sky want to go into total "streming only" services .
