Sky +HD box suddenly (4 Jan) stopped receiving a lot of channels. Package unchanged, contract in place since Nov last year. Hard reset not changed it.
May need a new box?
Any help much appreciated!

Changing to SD has resolved both issues. Pre Xmas they all recorded fine in HD but not an issue as long as we can watch them! Thanks very much for the knowledgable and most useful advice!

Trying to watch a recorded series we are half way through suddenly says 'we need to upgrade subscription by contacting Sky eg More 5 (C5) which is on Freeview?
Same happens on Sky Comedy and other eg Sky Atlantic. Our contract was renewed 6 Nov last year and these channels all worked last 2 months.

More 5 isn't a Freesat channel (Freeview is delivered via a television aerial, not a satellite dish, so isn't relevant). With regard to the others, are you trying to watch the HD variant without an HD subscription?
