I have tried everything but this has been an issue for nearly a week now.

I've had the same. However BBC1, BBC2 and Channel 4 are coming through even through there is no connection to broadband and TV aerial obviously not being used. I think it's Sky who have done something to cut off services .... ? Subscription is all current so I am really not happy. 20+ year membership status .... how about them not interfering with what has been working fine without any warning !!!

Find out moreIf your box is showing that it is not getting a satellite signal then it is nothing to do with your broadband and isn't anything that Sky has done as it could be an issue with the dish so you will need to find a local company to come out and look at it.

What kind of Sky box do you have - an older Sky+ box, or Sky+HD? Which channels are you not seeing? And what's the onscreen message?.

"No Satellite Signal" is an error generated by your Sky box, it has nothing to do with broadband (Internet connectivity) and usually indicates an issue with one or more of the following:
You may have to call out a local satellite installer, unless you have Sky Protect insurance, to check/fix your system, another option is to move to Sky Q, as during the move all issues will be resolved as part of the install, there is also the option of Sky Glass or Sky Stream, if you want to move away from satellite TV and use the Internet

I've got a Sky+ HD box. The on-screen message for all channels other than BBC1, BBC2 and Channel4 is :
"Your Sky+ HD box isn't getting a satellite signal. Your recordings in the Planner and the On Demand service may still be available."

Thanks for the reply.
I think I'll just cancel the whole thing. I have an elderly person in the room this is installed in and she cannot deal with engineers coming in and messing about around her space.
I have broadband with router in another room which I use for work and can't move the router to the TV anyway. I offered to connect up the broadband about 6 years ago but she didn't want change.
If we can't fix it ourselves without an engineer coming I will just get cancel the subscription. Having had it escalate from £10 a month to £67 a month in 20 years it's ridiculously overpriced for what it is now anyway.

My elderly dad is also having issues on his sky hd box. All the channels apart from channel 5 keep going off saying no signal and then back again and weather has been fine on those days. Its just strange how on some days it works perfectly and other days it doesnt
