Sky HD box failed, Q not available to us
Sky HD box has failed, tried system update etc. Spoken to Sky and they've updated us to Sky Q and engineer booked. However, we had to cancel the engineer the first time we moved in 3 1/2 years ago as the building (converted flat) doesn't accommodate it.
Been in touch with Leasehold Manager who confirms that's still the case so will have to cancel engineer again. Is there any way to buy replacement HD box and pair it? I believe not but we're stuck with a box that doesn't work and with a contract and no options.

@JenC2 You would need to ring Sky to explain and discuss options. It may be that Sky Stream becomes the only option.

You presume correctly. You can no longer pair your viewing card to a HD or HD+ box it wasn't paired with at the end of October 2024.

@JenC2 You could find an electrician that specialises in fixing broken Sky boxes so that you would not need to pair the card to a different box, this may not be cheap though

Unfortunately our broadband isn't strong enough to support Sky Stream and fibre isn't about to be installed in our area anytime soon. (City centre location)
