Hi guys
Our Sky+HD system had been working perfectly for many years with box connected to the BT broadband router via cat 6 Ethernet cable.
Just recently we upgraded to the BT home hub2 on Halo 3+ and realised that the sky+ HD box was not connected to the router.
All other devices were working fine so tried resetting the router and the Sky+HD box without succes.
I also tried a factory reset on the router and swapping over with the Fire TV Ethernet cable which also goes back to the router.
I can get connection via wifi but want the speed and reliability of the Ethernet.
I did get the Ethernet to connect once but I hadn't done anything, we turned the TV on one morning and it had connected to Ethernet but a few minutes later it disconnected and returned to wifi.
Any ideas guys?

Hi Annie
Thanks for your reply.
I didn't realise that IP address settings for Ethernet connection could be accessed and altered on the Sky+HD box; could you please advise further?

Thanks Annie
The only option on my Sky+HD box within the network settings is "manual wireless configuration".

Hi Annie
I'm familier with accessing the Smart hub manager but I'm affraid my knowledge and experience of changing settings is zero.
Could someone offer some kind of a walk through to change the IP setting as suggested earlier?
I have tried to access the BT community forum but the BT "Confirm verification" email won't aknowledge me clicking on the GUI verification button......who'd of thought it would be so tricky😁
