Hi, we are having issues with downloading content but in a random way. We are also a BT broadband user. Any ideas?

Try changing the DNS server your Sky box is using, in the Network settings. Either 8.8.8.8 or as Annie suggested earlier in the thread.

@Mark39 Can you please explain how to do that - I don't have an option for DNS Server on my network settings screen. Thanks

From memory you have to use the manual settings on the Network page of your Sky Box
Set a static IP address for the box ie 192.168.1.10 (Were 10 has to not be used by any other device on your network and must be outside the HDCP range of your home hub/router), subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 (this is always this value), then I believe you have two spaces for DNS where I use 1.1.1.3 and 1.0.0.3 as my DNS servers

Another BT broadband customer with the same issue - I had just agreed to a Sky engineer visit at a cost of £30 to solve this one after spending out on a new SkyHD+ box which of course displayed the same issue. Manually changing the DNS server as suggested has solved it. Great stuff and many thanks 👍🙏

I have had this issue since Wednesday all of a sudden it has stopped downloading anything. I have always been with BT for my broadband. I don't understand why it's suddenly stopped working???
I have tried the rebuild and no joy! So frustrating, I don't see why it would be BT when I haven't had any problems for over 5 years???!!!! Any ideas??

Changed my settings yesterday as suggested and so far so good. Only 24 hours but it's a start.
Will keep you posted.
