Sky HD+ Box, TNT Sports and Discovery Plus

Hi to all. My IT skills started and ended with the ZX81/Spectrum era so I struggle a little with modern tech terms.

I have had a Sky HD+ box and recently added TNT Sports. I read that as a Sky subscriber that with TNT Sports I also get full access to Discovery+. 

I have a new Samsung TV and installed the discovery app. I have gone between PC and TV entering codes to sign up for a Discovery+ account.

I had hoped this would give me access to all live matches at the French Grand Slam tennis. When I select Sports in Discovery none of the live  games displayed are accessible to me.

Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong?

@Mozzie whilst you can watch the tnt linear channels and select additional games by pressing the red button, you can't as a sky +hd user access discovery plus app at all through your sky account on any device 

to do so you would need to upgrade to either sky Q glass or stream

Didn't know about the red button option - so bonus there.

Box update not an option as other half has tons of recorded programmes and does'nt want to lose them.

Just tell them that they'll all be lost anyway at some point when the hard disk fails, as they all do. And your Sky box  must be 10+ years old, so is on borrowed time!

(My first introduction to computing was also a ZX81 - happy days!)

Hi, just jumping in here, as I have the same/similar issue.

Although its not possible to use the Discovery+ app via the sky+ box, is it possible to link a Sky+ account to a discovery+ account elsewhere and use the standalone Discovery+ app on a phone/TV/Laptop etc. All the online advice I see is linking the two for this purpose via glass or Sky Q mediums. Is there another more "archaic" way for us Sky+ survivors to use the Discovery+ app on our phone etc?

it might be possible if you are paying bt direct like I've done myself 

if your paying bt contact them directly for assistance
