Sky Bonfire Channel not free to all?

Hello,

I have Sky+ and Mulyiroom (and have had for 20 years) but currently dont subscribe to the Movies package. I have seen, EVERYWHERE, reports of the dog-friendly Bonfire pop up channel (great idea) but all I can see on my Sky Guide is BonfireChannel HD; I dont have movies, dont have HD so why is this being publicised as free to all Sky customers?

Unless I have missed it I can't see it being advertised as being free for all, this is Sky's own PR about it:

I thought I'd seen it publicised that it was free for a few days over bonfire night.

It was advertised on one of the online newspapers that it was free.

Sky aren't responsible for bad journalism / sloppy editing in other places (although their own wording on such things can certainly be ambiguous)

Unfortunately 'free' can be extrapolated from 'no additional cost to qualifying users' but really isn't the same thing.

Re: Sky Bonfire Channel not free to all?

Dogs Trust are advertising their partnership with SKY & NOW saying that Bonfire TV is available to all - technically not saying it is free but come on SkY.. for one night you could make it available to all SKY users at least!!

Off to tune into Classic FM now 🙄
