Re: Replacement viewing card won't pair with sky+ hd box
Is the box the same as the old card was paired in? You might need Sky to pair the card
or
Try performing a New Install

Re: Replacement viewing card won't pair with sky+ hd box
The original box stopped working and we think fried the card. So we bought another box and when the original card wouldn't pair, they sent a new card but we can't get it to pair either.

@pnda From 29th October sky removed the ability to pair viewing cards to replacement boxes
you will need to call sky again and discuss your options

Unfortunately as from the end of October, you can't pair a Viewing Card with a box that Sky hasn't supplied.

Re: Replacement viewing card won't pair with sky+ hd box
From the end of October it os no longer possible to pair a viewing card to a replacement Sky+ box so you would need to call Sky about upgrading to Sky Q to continue your TV services with them.

Thank you to everyone who replied.
We've finally had to give in and change to Sky Q.
Unfortunately the first available installation date isn't until the 18th January, so no Sky for us until then.

That's a bit of a wait. Not much consolation, but you can still use your Sky box to watch (but not record) the free to air channels without a paired Viewing Card.

Have Sky suspended subscription payments until 18 Jan 2025?
