I live in Belgium and am moving back to the UK. I had to cancel my SKY HD subscription in 2022 and I sent the viewing card back. I would like to renew my subscription. I still have the Sky HD box. How do I renew this subscription as my old subscription was through a European company (SKYNOW) although I paid regular monthly subscriptions directly to SKY in the UK?

Sky no longer offer or support Sky+ or Sky+HD subscriptions. To rejoin Sky for TV you need to either go with Sky Q through a satellite dish or Stream or Sky Glass (Stream through a TV) which is reliant on a good broadband service.
Your old Sky HD will no longer work.

Incidentally, such arrangements are almost certainly nothing to do with Sky, which officially disapproves of them. Sky Group is regulated as a broadcaster by the appropriate legal framework in UK, RoI, Italy, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland only, and cannot have legitimate satellite subscribers elsewhere.

Re: Renewal of lapsed HD subscription
I believe it was legit.
- Just for info: It was through a company in Germany. GermanSky they were called when I first signed up in 2006. I paid monthly fees directly to Sky as well as an annual fee to them for this service. They go under the name of ALLPAYTV now. I only gave up Sky because I was moving to a house where the owner was not keen for me to put up my satellite dish and Sky Glass still was in its infancy and wasn't an option. Now that I'm moving back to the UK, I was hoping I could use my HD box but apparently not. I don't want Sky Glass and I'm not interested in Streaming. I'd like to be able to record a football match and watch it later or at least on catch up. We love sport and Freeview doesn't do sports. Also the Internet isn't great where we are going to so Sky Glass isn't an option. I guess we'll have to try BT.

Sky Deuchland is a legitimate part of Sky Group, although it's in the process of being sold by Comcast to RTL. Sky Q has a few years left, but Sky no longer promotes it on their front page.
