Recordings on my SKY HD+ fails to playback.

 Hi any help appreciated,  replaced an old HD+ box last October with a refurbished one bought on Ebay now experiencing problem with playback.  The recordings show as available on the Sky planner but fail to play , only see a blue screen and reverts back to the tv chanel. It also occurs when trying to download from Catch up TV. Personally,  i think the hard disk has failed?

It would have been helpful to say so. Did it complete? What else have you tried?

Mark39  I started with a re boot and checked skycard,  then tried  to rebuild planner and  finally a system reset,. nothing seemed to make a difference , think iv'e run out of options !

What model was the old one.... what model is the refurb?

Both boxes were  DRX890W  the newer slime line  model

Changing the HDD is tricky but can be done... buying a replacement box is easier and not much more expensive, especially when you must make sure you get a media rated HDD🤔
