Re: On screen notifications for “watch from start”

I agree it is very annoying. If I want to watch from the start, I would use catch up.

I absolutely love this feature! The amount of time I channel surf, and stumble upon something I like the look of, a quick hit of the green button allows me to store it for later without any faffing around!

Yes this option is so annoying i should be able to press...

Yes this option is so annoying i should be able to press select to choose whether i want this option or not. The amount of times I've pressed select to find information on the programme and instead been put back to the beginning of the programme when I've no interest in it. Sky should get this sorted

Your Sky box is acting exactly as you instruct it! When the 'catch up' prompt appears, simply hit the 'back up' button to make it disappear. It really isn't complicated, and as I said before, I'm a huge fan of the feature. This is such a 1st world issue, it's laughable!

Yes it's not complicated but it is annoying and if my sky box acted the way i wanted it to i wouldn't be getting the watch from the start option unless i was looking for it. If i want subtitles i use my remote to turn subtitles on i don't constantly get asked if i want subtitles on.

@Bryan+made

If when viewing the program you want to see information about it then the button you need to press is the i (information) one and not the select one.

With the sky stream remote it is the select button you use

This is the Sky+ forum so the stream remotes function is of no relevance 😞

The Sky Stream forum is here:

All the posts here relate to the Sky+ box as per the image at the top of this page.

Re: On screen notifications for “watch from start”

It is super annoying having to press backup to get rid of it. Especially if youre watching the football European championships and switching between BBC1 and 2 to see the scores.

Ive also seen it popup before a programme has even started!! Whats the point in that?!

There should be ab option to disable it if i wish too

Such a 1st world issue 😞

Please Note: Sky+ is now a legacy service that Sky are replacing with their newer services: Sky Q (all issues will be fixed during a Sky Q install), Sky Glass and Sky Stream

I doubt well see any software changes as they want us all off the Sky Plus system

Re: On screen notifications for “watch from start”

I'll declare right now, I'll be 'last man standing' with Sky+. I have no desire whatsoever to give Sky any more money, and Sky+ is simply perfect for me 🤣
