On Demand download failure of Stargate with error of broadband problem is NOT box, it's SKY
OK, to clarify this, 2 Sky+ boxes here have both been throwing an error message when trying to download on demand Stargate SG1 episodes from Sky max, the error is 'There appears to be an issue with the broadband connection at this time'.
This is NOT a user error, or a broadband issue, from a thread in another area, it seems that the rights to Stargate have expired, so Sky can no longer provide this series of programs.
The error is twofold. First, Sky should have removed the Stargate listings from the planner search engine, and second, they should have returned a meaningful error message when the download failed.
I spent (wasted) a lot of time over several days trying to resolve this, and nearly lost all my historic recordings as a result of the system at Sky not knowing that the Stargate agreements had lapsed, support wanted me to cold reset the box, fortunately, as 2 boxes were affected, I didn't do this, as it would have achieved nothing other than wiping a lot of recordings that are not replaceable.
The error appeared very similar to the error with downloads that's been affecting a lot of Sky+ boxes, but now that the exact reason has become clear, this issue is not the same as the other on demand download failure, this is a failure of internal communication by Sky, there is NOTHING wrong with the box, and nothing can be done by the user to resolve the issue.
Hopefully, posting this here will help avoid other users trying to resolve a problem that's not at their end, and it's not in any way related to their box or broadband.

@Irish-Steve What's odd is that those Stargate SG1 episodes returned in the Search show an expiry date of Aug 2024.
Presumably, this date has been entered in error which might explain why they still appear in the search results.
I've emailed Viewer Relations for clarification.
