Re: OSM - 'Viewing Card not Authorised'

Received this error  notice  several  times  tonight,  my existing  card  has been in my sky plus  ️ box for at least  3 years.

I had had an assessment  for a SkyQ box and my house isn't suitable and neither do I want to upgrade  my TV.

I do have an upgrade  card which I was sent prior to the Sky Q upgrade,  I still have this.If I put this into my Sky plus ️  box will I lose my recorded items

This  evening I am receiving an error  message which says my sky plus card isn't authorised? .It asks me to use a new card .

I have a new  card , this was issued  when I was trying to upgrade to SkyQ box, the engineer said  my house wasn't suitable  and I do not want to upgrade  my TV.

So basically  I  can try to use the new card ,but  I would like to know  a) Why have I received this error  b) will I lose my recordings.  I am presuming  that the  new card is compatible  with  Sky plus. Not happy  with  Sky I have just  had no landline for 5 days .TIA for support

Yes, you need to use the new card. Your old card will have been deactivated. You may need to 'pair' the new card to your box.

No, you shouldn't lose access to your recordings.

If you have been sent a new card for the Q upgrade that did not then go ahead, you eventually need to use the new card. I would get it in the box as soon as possible.

Thanks
