Hi,
We requested sky Q in January and engineers came out to install in Feb but couldn't due to needing a different team to reach the roof. An appointment was supposed to be reschduled by Sky but wasn't so after waiting I re-booked one but had to wait until April. Obviously due to Covid 19 this appointment couldn't happen.
Now we are getting the message 'Viewing card not authorised' and have tried to manaully reset it and activate it but no joy. We didn't receive a sky Q card so can not try inserting that.
We appreciate that Key Workers need to be priority but it is frustrating that we now can't watch any of the Sky channels or bennefit from having the sky packages that we are paying for.
If the correct engineers had come out in February when planned we would have had Sky Q since then anyway.
Please help us to know how to get Sky working again?
Should we cancel our direct debit as we don't want to be paying for a service that we can't use?

Hello
Like many people my very old viewing card appears not to be authorised as of this afternoon - 10th April.
January Sky Q order was cancelled as broadbad speeds not up to it, and the engineer advised that I would not therefore require use of the new viewing card. I no longer have it.
I am still using my 15 year old card (have original Sky box too) which worked yesterday 9th April.
Not the best time to be tinkering with viewing cards. Please advise.

Thank you for your speedy response.
Unbeknown to me, my husband had the new viewing card tucked away in his man-drawer, so I put it in and it seems to be working now. Fingers crossed it continues.
You are a real credit to your company. I hope they appreciate you.

I am having the exact same problem saying I am not connected to broadband or phone line .. the error that is showing for me is viewing card needs to be paired with sky+hd box .. I have followed instructions and still not working .. this is going on since yesterday afternoon and can't get through to sky 😡😡

What happens if it says that you are not connected to broadband or phone line and won't let you do a new install .. the error message I have is that my viewing card needs to be paired with sky + hd box .. this is an old account and I have never had this problem before . Have no tv at all since yesterday evening
