Which new Sky equipment do you have?

@Andromeda1651 You will need to telephone Sky to request engineer. If it's because they have changed your equipment, you should not be £charged for an engineer to sort your Sky set up.
This place is just a community of Sky customers who don't have the powers you need. ♡ Wishing you all the best.

Re: Not able to fit new equipment I need an engineer I cannot do it myself I am 80 years old
If the OP has Sky+ (where they have posted) Sky won't send an engineer as Sky+ and Sky+HD are no longer supported.
We need @Andromeda1651 to confirm what equipment they are referring to.

Re: Not able to fit new equipment I need an engineer I cannot do it myself I am 80 years old
@Daniel0210 I have Sky + & other packages & Sky insisted sending an engineer to me when broadband kept dropping off.
I didn't ask for an engineer & was not charged.
> Are you saying I also am not entitled to help as a Sky + & other packages? Or just @Andromeda1651 because she is asking the question here in this Community?
Yes, I'm new here & your answer above has totally confused me. I am only trying to help & you are saying we aren't due for help as Sky+ & more customers?
Yours is the third senseless answer I've seen since I joined yesterday.
Where people tried to tell me my broadband dropping out shouldn't affect my Sky+ & WiFi !? Of course it does, if the internet connection goes & so does the Home page & internet.. Do people imagine Internet comes from their satellite dish?
Sorry @Andromeda1651 > you had best telephone Sky on 150 for urgent help. Best wishes

You were able to get an engineer for your broadband issue. Sky no longer send engineers out for Sky+/Sky+HD faults.
As the OP has posted in the Sky+ board we are merely saying they won't get an engineer out for a Sky+ issue. By asking @Andromeda1651 to confirm what equipment they are referring to will enable us to move the post to the correct board and give them the appropriate advice.

@SusanCanale Sky+ is not a Viewing package. It's the set top box used to receive Sky. Your posts suggest you don't have Sky+.

Re: Not able to fit new equipment I need an engineer I cannot do it myself I am 80 years old
@Markmark Your reply suggest you don't know much about Sky+
Oh that's great, @Daniel0210 ,, now your all saying sky + is no longer a viewing package? Well they can stop charging me a £fortune for the service & £20 PM for Sky Cinema is robbery, especially as Paramout+ is full of ads now.
I'm a 23yr viewing customer of Sky, now Sky+ as I have a Sat.dish , the system also needs a phone connection to work the Sky+ internet.
After the past 2days, I do not know why anyone would come here for help. You are all contrary & unhelpful.
It's beyond me how you people expect an 80 year old pensioner to sort WHATEVER problem she is having with the Sky package I'm sure she is £paying plenty for.
Sorry @Andromeda1651 As I said earlier, this is not a Sky customer help page, just a community of customers.
Dial 150 if you have sky talk for help ❣There are other numbers to get through to a person. 🙏🏻

I'm sure you think you know what you're talking about, but that makes no sense whatsoever. 😁

Re: Not able to fit new equipment I need an engineer I cannot do it myself I am 80 years old
@SusanCanale You have already raised your issue here https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-Q/Fed-up-with-broadband-link-dropping-out/m-p/4903930#M686850 which you clearly stated you have Sky Q.
Therefore the info posted in this thread is correct, Sky+ Is a older TV box, you may have a Sky TV package but as already advised by you your TV Box is a Sky Q box.
I'm also not sure why you've said the community is unhelpful when in fact we as customers have been more than helpful despite the confusing information provided in your original thread.

Sky+ is a hardware platform (PVR) from 2001, evolving into Sky+ HD in 2006 and then superceded by Sky Q in 2016. Sky+ hardware is now obsolete, and the very small percentage of remaining Sky+ HD boxes have limited and diminishing support from Sky with home visits for maintenance, repair and replacement no longer being available.
Subscription content packages are 'Entertainment', 'Signature', and now 'Ultimate TV' or 'Essential TV'. 'Entertainment' was widely used on Sky+ HD era hardware, while Q boxes will have 'Signature' or 'Ultimate TV': 'Essential TV' is found on Glass television sets and Stream Pucks as a cheaper alternative to 'Ultimate TV'.

Nobody with the tag name Markmark has contributed to this thread. In fact they've made no posts whatsoever.
In a post you made in the last couple of days you stated you have Sky Q but in your profile page you've stated you have Sky+.

Re: Not able to fit new equipment I need an engineer I cannot do it myself I am 80 years old
Good of you to check up on me @GD1 🤗 Excuse me, so many Sky versions over 23years of raised charges, 10years paying for Sky Sports when I didn't even know or use it , it's obviously Sky Q I have.
The lighter, cheaper sat box, not the mini stream box.
You must've seen the " help " with the answers in that first post of mine here then ?
2 people trying to tell me that my broadband link dropping out shouldn't affect my Sky viewing experience! ?
Are you going to tell me the same thing as they did? Because that's not true , broadband needs connection to the telephone line. In fact, Sky satellite TV always has needed connection to the telephone line out back, before I had BB.
Obviously many here purporting to understand the system, but don't even realise broadband signal ( which is dropping out more often since part fibre change ) stops the Sky homepage working & apps & catch up TV, WiFi too o.c.
(removed)
Now I have no home telephone working as Sky CS didn't tell me I need a new type phone to plug into BB box.
I hope this is not the same problem @Andromeda1651 has & she gets the engineer visit she needs. > Not everyone has a mobile phone.
A helpful thing would be to tell @Andromeda1651 if she is on a pension, or others on certain DWP benefits, there is a community benefit of around £20 discount off her broadband ( if she has that). Good day. 🙂

If you are still reading the updates on here (as the thread seems to have gone off topic a bit) please just tell us what equipment you're referring to then we can properly advise you.
