No sky channels, error code 28. This has happened 3 times in about 6 weeks. Keep calling sky to send the signal down to box which seems to work for a while. Anybody know what's going on? On sky hd 2tb box

Just a little bit off from full bars. Called sky and they have sent signal down to box again and now it's working. But why has it happened for the fourth time in 6 weeks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreProlonged loss of signal can deactivate your viewing card, you can perform a new install to reactivate the card (this saves you having to contact Sky on the phone) but this is only a temporary patch until you get the cause of the fault sorted

Advisor said it's possible that the box isn't reading card properly,
but if that was the case why would it be ok for a few weeks and then happens again?

Did the system install, but this didn't work.
As soon as sky sends signal back down it's fine. Very odd
