No satellite signal sky hd box

Hi I had to upgrade my sky box to HD in my holiday home in France. I connected my aerial (?) to the replacement box and all was well until 20.00 on 25th September when the picture broke up.and then message appeared saying there was no satellite signal to my box.

The weather was very stormy and wet that evening. I have tried to find an engineer but where the house is is very rural and I'm having no luck. One chap suggested waiting for the weather to get better as the dish might be affected by water? Can you help?

Any use of a Sky box on a UK subscription can only be used at the account address in the UK.

Using a Sky box outside of the UK/ROI is a breach of the terms & conditions for Sky

We'll assume you're using the hardware as a free to air receiver and not breaching a Sky contract by having a subscription at a UK address while using the associated viewing card overseas.  I'd suggest a forum for expats in France would be rather more appropriate for seeking help with a dish fault: Sky certainly cannot provide support (and they wouldn't for that system in the UK either)

It's worth noting that Sky has never been a legitimate satellite television provider in France: historically the French have always had rather strong views about broadcasts in other languages and foreign media ownership in general.
