This morning we suddenly cannot get onto any channels . It says your sky+hd box isn't getting a satellite signal. The weather is good, nothing is blocking the satellite dish. I have done all the steps it requires on the yellow button and online and nothing is helping.

Although Sky themselves no longer support Sky+ and Sky+HD, if you have Sky Protect through Domestic and General Insurance you can call them otherwise you'll need to employ a local satellite engineer at your own expense to check it (or upgrade to Sky Q or change to Glass / Stream).

Been working a treat up until 1st Jan 25 when BBC 1 and a few just stopped. What did you end up doing? Sky are suggesting to join sky Q but I prefer to stick with sky+ if we can

Have the same problem. Can't be to do with dish as I am in a first floor flat and none of my neighbours are affected!

Sky no longer allow the viewing card to be paired to different Sky+ / Sky+HD boxes so can you tell us what you mean.

I didn't know that, wouldn't the basic channels BBC 1 etc still not work? I just tried putting the old viewing card into the other box and connecting aerial cables at the back and that still had same issue so I put it back as before.

Trying the other box and checking signal still showed input 1 as not connected but input 2 was fine. I think that was the point of my experiment as that's exactly what was happening on the original box

Yep, it will be a dish or cabling fault.

Might be a problem with the cable from the multiswitch to your flat. Or possibly the connections at the back of your Sky box. After turning off your Sky box at the plug, check that the two dish connections at the back of your Sky box are secure.

Thanks mate

Ibput 1 fails to work on some channels. Putting the input 1 cable end into the other port showed signal on input 2 so I assume this tells me the cable is fine so must be a dish or lnb issue?
