No Satellite signal - random channels (eg TNT, BBC1, Ch5, BBC news)

Since Monday a number of random channels have no satelite signal.

I have done all the checks about 100 times and it is the same on both main box and multi room.

Called Sky and they said it was a 'known issue' and they were working on it.  But no progress 4 days later.

As an aside, I agreed to move to Sky Q and have this being installed/activated on 22 October - but its not acceptable that i am without all these channels until then, especially as some are subscription ones.

Anyone else aware that this is a known issue?  They never once suggested it could be my dish and had very little interest in helping me once i had agreed to move to Sky Q.

Very disappointed with Sky - and cannot find a number to call the technical dept.  Anyone have a number? Although its tiring having to go through the history all over again.

Not a known issue, to my knowledge. It all points to an issue with your dish setup. Sky no longer provide engineer support for Sky+, so if you want a resolution before your Sky Q installation, you would need to engage a local satellite installer to take a look for you,

Oddly they never suggested it could be the dish and were adament this was an issue they knew about and were working on.  Saying it should be sorted in 48 hours.  I have checked forums and net, and nothing seems to be getting talked about - so they have obviously just fobbed me off.

Either way, it wouldn't make any difference to the outcome, for the reasons I mentioned.

Apart from the fact i have been waiting patiently for the channels to return (on the basis of what they advised) and not receiving channels i pay a subsrciption for.  When i could have been doing something about it.

Yes, you're right. You would, however be shelling out for a private  engineer visit for the sake of 3 weeks viewing.

You might perhaps be able to find some of the programmes you've missed via On Demand.

For reference, and it will be the same on Sky Q, a No Satellite Signal message is nearly always something local to your own setup be it your dish, LNB, cabling or box.

In the unlikely event that it is a widespread issue, the forum will be flooded with posts.
