No Access to Channels already subscribed
We have 2 Sky+ HD boxes. One is working as it should , so is the other, but only for around 2 weeks, when we try to view subscribed channels, it asks us to upgrade to services we've already subscribed to. Each time this happens, and I eventually get through to an advisor, which is NOT easy, they send a signal to reset my HD box and the problem is sorted. Recently this is happening with annoying regularity. Of course I'm told the old HD boxes are no longer supported, I understand this, but in the meantime I'm paying £70/mth for a flaky service. Why should one of our boxes have this issue when the other doesn't ?
I've been offered a free change to SkyQ but on checking the deal it's actually a downgrade - Currently we have 2x 2TB boxes. The "free" "up"grade offers only a 1TB box. As a VIP customer with well over 20yrs with sky I'd have expected NOT to have to pay £100 for equivalent storage. (What's the point of being able to record more channels at the same time when you only have the storage ?)
Anyways, back to my question - this being, how do I stop being asked to upgrade to services I'm already paying for ???
While I'm here, what is the best phrase to use to get through to a technical advisor when I call Sky ?
