We have just replaced our old hD box with another and need to pair the card but it's not connected to internet or phone line. Any help?

Yes, they send a signal via satellite

Sky+ HD hasn't required a phoneline connection for many years: the last model boxes (manufactured in 2014-15) didn't have an on-board modem.

Substantial Sky functionality (in particular all on-demand/catch-up/ watch-from-start) uses broadband, but that's different.
