My sky+ box is telling me there is a problem with the harddrive on my skybox

I tried resetting the box,I updated the system..but to no avail..it keeps telling me hard drive problems..I can't access recorded items....

It sounds like the hard disk has failed and your Sky box will need to be replaced.  It's unlikely Sky will be able to provide a replacement Sky+ box as it's an end of life product, but you'll be able to find a used replacement on eBay etc. Look for a DRX890 or DRX895 model.

 

Or now might be the time to switch to Sky Q? I'm sure Sky would offer you a good deal.
