I have put new batteries in the remote control but although I can navigate

the tv screen, it will not select the proamme . I think I need a new remote

Yu can usually fix a remote control by taking it apart and cleaning the circuit board, see Q26 in my Sky Plus FAQ for guidance

@cathm21 If @Annie+UK suggestion doesn't work, new one's can be purchased at major supermarkets or Amazon etc
