My Sky+ box is unreliable with holding a satellite signal, can I get a SkyQ box without a letter?

I lost the satellite signal for no apparent reason. I followed the help instructions and it was resolved but a few days later could no longer provide programme synopses. Again I have been through the help instructions and it is working again, but I think the problem is that the connections of the input leads are no longer robust. Can I get a SkyQ box without an invitation by letter first?

@Alison25 I would imagine so. Sky are keen to get customers off the Sky+ system. They wouldn't send an engineer to look at your issue without switching to Sky Q anyway.
