My Sky X plus HD has stopped working the machine as no lights “ON” and tv screen is black.

My sky plus x HD has stopped working, nothing coming lights are on the box and the tv as a black screen

Try a different mains socket, and check the fuse in the plug. If there are still no lights at the front of the box, I'm afraid it's had it.  

Don't be tempted to buy a replacement box if you have a Sky subscription - it won't work. Contact Sky and look at the upgrade options.
