My Sky+ Recordings playback once Account Closed?

Hi I have some programmes RECORDED on my Sky+ box which are no longer shown / broadcast.  And I just need a few more months to watch them (til August) as I am very unwell / bed bound.

I am closing my account, and switching to SkyQ box which I already had in my London apartment, and am transferring to my property.  Sky say I cannot have two accounts operating at the same time.

However, is there any way I can set up and still watch my Sky+ box, even if I do not have an input coming in from aerial feed etc and do not wish to make any new recordings on it?

I have been paying £69.75 per month for Sky+ and basic broadband and been a customer for 19 years.  Apparently this makes me a VIP.  But I do not feel like it.

With adverts in METRO saying Sky Fibre is £13 per month + SkyQ inc Netflix is £26 (ie £39 per month), I feel nothing but ripped off and conned.  Hardly VIP!

You'll have no access to the Sky+ content when Sky Q replaces it

The Sky+ box may or may not continue to function for playback over an uncertain time period, but there's no right to expect it to do so once its associated subscription ceases.

Typically the next time it is fully restarted it will look for a satellite signal to confirm a subscription is in place, and refuse to initialise if such a signal (and subscription confirmation) is not available.
