Hi Need Help
Since last Thursday, my Sky+TV service has been in a no satellite signal status.
All efforts trying to fix it soly has failed and I am in need of A Sky TV / Satellite Network Engineer.
Recommendations please as SKY Technical lot has been not helpful as:
a) I live in a Communue share dish building
b) I do not want a new or be migrated to new box (meaning a LOST to all my historic TV content) as Sky can't assure me they can backup / restore my TV recordings on to a new.
An independent Technical is my last chance or I am switch my services from Sky to a competitor forth wit.
Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAs you state you're connected to a communal dish you need to speak with your landlord or building management team.
Sky no longer support Sky+ or Sky+HD set ups as they're a legacy system.

Find out more@GODWIN-IMFIDON Sky cannot provide technical support for communal dish connections, as you're not in a position to authorise their access to the dish, cabling and Multiswitch. All communal components are the responsibility of your landlord or their managing agents, so that's who you would need to report the fault to, as @Daniel0210 posted.

Hi All,
Thanks for the feedbacks and suggestions.
A clarification on the communal dish to which my place satellight signal came until last Thursday:
a) All the neighbours, including to my upstairs tv all works of and receives their signal from the same communal dish connection that saves the screen downstair that has said issue.
Thus access to the dish / cabling e.t.c won't be needed, the issue(s) seems to be local to my Sky+ connection and hence a Technical Support expert is sort, all Sky is offering is a replacement with all my content gone.
Hence any recommended Techincan local to South West London will be great.
Again Thanks

Find out more@GODWIN-IMFIDON your landlord owns, and is responsible for all components of the communal system right up to the wall socket or trailing satellite cables within your flat. You would need to arrange access from your landlord for any third party engineer to carry out an inspection or repair.
If your Sky is connected via flyleads to a wall socket you could check that part of your setup yourself and replace the flyleads. They're readily available cheaply online.
