“Mini tv signal loss” on some channels

I have a Sky+HD box and receiving "mini tv signal" error on some channels. Like BBC2 Channel4, however the +1 channel for each of the lost channels does work. 
I have reset my box and left it off overnight and still to no avail.

Sounds like a signal problem on one of your dish cables. Try turning your Sky box off at the plug, then checking the dish connections at the back of the box to make sure they're still securely fitted.

I have checked those connections too with no change sadly

You'll need a satellite engineer to take a look then, I'm afraid. Unfortunately Sky no longer provide engineer support for Sky+ equipment unless you have Sky Protect, so you would need to engage a local installer.

Or now might be a convenient time to upgrade to Sky Q or Sky Stream.

I don't believe so, no.

You'll need to look for a local satellite installer to check it for you.
