Sky support for Sky+HD and earlier systems has ended, you can still get support if you already have Sky Protect insurance otherwise you'll have to find your own 3rd party company to get support from at your own expense

We have tried this but ithas not worked 

 

Also followed the next step, turn off and restart, still will not allow any recording

@NealB2024 as a last resort you could try a System Reset (it's in the same menu as a Planner Rebuild). If that doesn't restore normal working, I'm afraid the hard disk has died and the box will need to be replaced. There are used boxes available on ebay etc for around £30 (DRX890 and DRX895 models only), or now might be the time to upgrade to Sky Q.
