We have tried this but ithas not worked
Also followed the next step, turn off and restart, still will not allow any recording

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@NealB2024 as a last resort you could try a System Reset (it's in the same menu as a Planner Rebuild). If that doesn't restore normal working, I'm afraid the hard disk has died and the box will need to be replaced. There are used boxes available on ebay etc for around £30 (DRX890 and DRX895 models only), or now might be the time to upgrade to Sky Q.
