Inserted sky card and activated but no channels
I have inserted my sky card and pressed select to pair. On screen it displays Request was successful. Your channels will be available shortly. I have waited alright for pairing to complete. I have followed instructions to Update Software twice now and still the same. Any ideas. The Robot can't help.

Re: Inserted sky card and activated but no channels
No its the same card but reinserted in the same box. I have used my card in 2 different boxes for years but this time it hasn't worked. I have spoken to sky eventually and they are saying the box is faulty, they cannot talk to it. They are now offering me a Q box

I have tried this twice and it made no change. Sky have checked and they cannot speak to box so they have offered a sky Q box free of charge

Re: Inserted sky card and activated but no channels
Cards are now tied to a single box and you can no longer swap the card between boxes

Changed as recently as last week.
I'll tag in @nigea99 who has some helpful notes on switching to Sky Q

You may, also, wish to read some notes I have made for people considering switching from SKY +/HD to SKY Q

Re: Inserted sky card and activated but no channels
Well the latest after over an hour on the phone to 5 humans. The last technician said he was unable to send out a replacement viewing card as the system will not allow him, as it's a legacy box i.e. being phased out. As I have agreed to have a Q box I'm to expect a reduction in my payments as I'm not getting what I am paying for.
I do have Sky Protect so I shall call them and ask for a replacement HD+ box tomorrow, see what they say. Thanks for everyone's support.

A replacement Sky+HD Box (I doubt you'd get one anyway) would be no use as you still wouldn't be able to pair a viewing card to it.
