Re: Input 1 lock indicator “not locked”

I had the same problem last year and it was the Communion aerial Cable eg it was losing Signal and  was cutting out like yours but if you have your own Dish it can't be that but Try and tighten the cables on your dish if you can reach it. It might be as simple as the cable coming loose on the dish if that don't work you will have to phone up sky for them to send you out an engineer which is about £45 per visit but you can ask them for a 6 or 12 month Insurance which is £10 per month but then your cover for a new box and if it's the cables they will replace them also you can phone the Insurance people for a new remote controls also you can add a tv or phone to the policy

It's not a manual option. It will lock automatically if the box is receiving a good signal.

Re: Input 1 lock indicator “not locked”

It locks automatically when you receive good signal from your aerial

Re: Input 1 lock indicator “not locked”

The problem for me was the trees! The engineer came out and put my dish higher up the wall, and I got the tops of the trees trimmed and I had zero problems after that!

Re: Input 1 lock indicator “not locked”

Your aerial has absolutely nothing to do with your Sky setup, your aerial is for terrestrial Freeview TV

It might look like an aerial cable and it may have been the, cable that was faulty. But a TV aerial cannot possibly deliver a Sky signal. Somewhere,in your communal set up there's a satellite dish. A TV aerial can only deliver Freeview as @Annie+UK posted.

Re: Input 1 lock indicator “not locked”

@Annie+UK it was to do with my aerial box which is connected to the dish on top of the roof on my block. That's why my Input 1 wasn't locking. That's why sky couldn't fix it. I had to call out the aerial people.

@Mark39 @Annie+UK it was to do with my aerial box / Sky + wire which is connected to the dish on top of the roof on my block. That's why my Input 1 Signal  wasn't locking. That's why sky couldn't fix it. I had to call out the aerial (Avonline) people to fix it.

Only you are calling it an aerial box! it is just a multipurpose wallplate with connections to your Freeview aerial, Radio, Sky Dish etc...

Yep, Sky can't touch communal systems. It's owned by your landlord or his/her managing agent and is their responsibility, rather than Sky's.

Re: Input 1 lock indicator “not locked”

@Annie+UK yes it's a box on the wall. my sky is connected to this box as I live in a block of flats so it goes through the box and all the wires goes up the side of the block to a communal aerial / dish on the 15th floor. That's why I don't have a sky dish. Maybe you live in a house so your sky goes through your sky dish.
