@Mike+Smith  If you have a Sky+ the box is yours to keep and do as you wish.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

@Mike+Smith

If it is a Sky+ and you want to recycle it see this link

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/return-or-recycle-sky-equipment

If it's a Sky Q box or Broadband router you've been asked to return then as long as you’ve cancelled successfully Sky usually send out the returns packaging near the end of the cancellation period, [31 days for Sky Q and 14 days for broadband], to the address that the subscription was registered at.

You can use any packaging as long as it’s secure and you may want to put a note inside with your account number and a list of equipment that is included. This link explains about how to receive an email with your return labels through Royal Mail.

If you haven’t anything suitable contact Sky again and see if they’ll re-send. Keep your proof of posting very safe and indefinitely as Unipart, who handle the UK returns, don’t appear to be that well organised. Also, if you use Royal Mail’s collect from home service, keep a record of the tracking number.

Re: I want to return a Sky box

  • I have just received my sky Q returns box,  I am disabled and need to ask a friend to disconnect the equipment,  pack and post it for me.  How long will sky allow me to have before returning the equipment.  Thank you

@35b I believe Sky allow you around 6 weeks. Important- be sure to obtain and keep indefinitely proof of postage when you return the equipment.
