I have an error 25 message telling me the sky+hd box is not receiving a satellite signal.

I have checked all connections and unplugged box, waited for ten minutes then reconnected but message reappears telling me that the sky+hd box isn't getting a satellite signal.

Looks like you have a problem with your dish setup which will require an engineer's attention. Unless you have Sky Protect, Sky are no longer providing engineer support for Sky+ equipment,so you would need to seek the services of a local satellite,installer. Or upgrade to Sky Q.
