I have a Sky plus box and I cancelled multi room but Sky deactivated the wrong viewing card and now

I have a Sky plus box and I cancelled multi room but Sky deactivated the wrong viewing card and now they tell me that they can't reactivate it and my only option is to take out a Sky Q subscription. I don't want to do this mainly because I have a lot of recordings on my Sky plus box that I want to still watch. It was Sky that messed up so why should I suffer for their incompetent service

So far as I'm aware, providing the Viewing Card is in the same box as before, Sky can reactivate it and deactivate the Card in your Multiscreen box. It sounds like the adviser you spoke to was a bit overzealous in trying to sign you up to Sky Q.

 

I'd give them another call. If they won't do it, I'd raise a formal complaint using the webform here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/how-to-make-a-complaint
