If you press the services button on your remote then go to services > signal, what are the signa strengths like, the white bars need to be at least halfway across on both feeds.

@Michelle45 I assume you've previously been able to record one channel and watch another at the same time?

If so, the problem now is that you have no satellite signal on one of your dish cables. You'll need an engineer to take a look. Unless you have Sky Protect, you'll need to book a local satellite installer to do it for you.

Nothing to do with being downgraded. Something doesn't add up here. The only reasons you can't record one and watch another programme at the same time are the absence of a signal on one of the dish cables, or you have Single Feed Mode turned on in your Sky box settings, or you have only one cable from the dish.

When you do to Services > Settings > Signal, how many bars do you see? The top 4 are signal indicators. The white part of all four indicator bars should be at least half way across all the time.

There are two bars, both labelled input 1, both strong signal.

How do I access single feed mode?

Do you have two cables from the dish? Single Feed Mode should correctly be turned on if there's only one cable.

Single feed mode is in the hidden menu, Q03 explains how to access this menu
