From last night I have tried to download a couple of programs from on demand. It starts download and within seconds then shows failed. I have checked connections to router etc all ok.

Have you deleted all the failed downloads from your Deleted folder?

Have you had any luck? My boxes are doing the same as from last night - on demand connected ok but sticks on downloading . Message says service loading.
